Let me clarify that it is only the dealer who sets preference between retail and fleet sales. FoMoCo do not direct dealers or thier agents to allocate stock to preffered customers I.e Retail before fleet.

And MOST dealers will take a retail sale over a fleet sale any day 'cause they want the retail profit not the repeat loyalty of the fleet buyer who purchases EVERY 3-4 years rather than the retail buyer who purchases, on average every 6 - 10 years...

Got a call from my dealer on Tuesday, my XR6T will be ready on the 21st of this month. Hmm, we'll see.

My mid-Feb delivery has now been pushed out to late Feb, whenever that is!

Oh well, considering it was supposed to be mid March and I have only been waiting since 14th November.........., what is a couple of weeks.

Today the dealer called. My XR6T arrived at the dealer today wooooohooooo!

Should be ready to pick up, Thurs or Fri next week. Just in time for the all Ford day in Geelong where it will be on display.

Well I got told mine was the March allotted car, now due the end of March.

Also told the xr6T in Silver that was on the lot in early Jan was the Feb car come early.

And so mine was next right?

So how come, there is a new Silver Turbo on the lot tonight?

I hope this info gives you guys an idea how long your car takes from completion until delivery to dealer. I got the printout from a friend who works at Ford, it told me my car was competed on the 28th Jan, shipped (to FPV) on the 29th. It was delivered to the dealer yesterday, I pick it up on Thurs or Fri.

that's "9" days at FPV and no major accesories to fit !!

does anyone know haow long it takes from the time the car is ready to be built to leaving the factory?. Like how long does the assembly pricess take?
