Delivery Date When Do You Expect Your Xr6?

When did I order it? Hmmm, can I think back that far? :D

Ordered it around late Sept. (Private not fleet BTW).

1st Phantom XR was delivered to Bryan Byrt Ford last week in November (WITH THE WRONG INTERIOR - Plexis Grey, not Phantom)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looked at the Plexis grey and sorry to the people that like it but it was no match compared to the plexis Phantom interior by a long shot. We knew we would be pissed off if we accepted the car "as is". Was told the next build date wasn't until Feb-March and was not happy. Insisted on a few free extras, negotiated for free stuff, scuff plates, etc...got what we wanted as a compromise. They tell us that a biuld for an XR had become available in January so here we are. Leaving Melbourne on the 24th this month. Now if anything happens to the car in transit, guess who may possibly appear on the news as a wanted serial killer!!!

So the call came this afternoon - delivery late March, if I don't get lucky when the dealer organises a swap.

At least I know where I stand. This is a big improvement.

How rubbery is the late March delivery? Not that you get to mid Feb and it then becomes late April!

l dont know how you can get any sort of 'meaningful' assurance on this though :blank:

Eventually it will be worth it. The car is a vision as such, fast but comfortable with leather, sun roof, big sound and the usual assortment of smaller extras.

Its tough to know as delivery dates change and usually for the worse. You only have to wait two weeks and you can break your contract and buy an XR6T off the floor as there seems to be a few around. But of course you may not get EXACTLY what you want, and if it is late March then its not too long to wait.

The car will be worth it. Plus, there are so many variables it requires some form of patience.

I too have been getting the runaround from my dealer, I have requested for him to supply me with a SIDO number a couple of times now and nothing. Prior to leaving a deposit I was told that a car was in production and if I left the deposit that day it would be mine, SO WHERE IS MY SIDO NUMBER, if I find out that the dealer was lying to me I may consider running him over.

Car dealer already have a bad rep, without needing to totally pis.... me off.

WAKE UP FORD, YOUR COMPARING YOUR PRODUCT TO EUROPEAN MANUFACTURES, BUT you are employiong a bunch of f... wits to sell your products.

I cannot stand being lied too, with me it's what you see is what you get.

as far as I know, no SIDO means it is not even scheduled for production since the SIDO is the build number.

perhaps someone from Ford can confirm this?
