Delivery Date When Do You Expect Your Xr6?

my car is currently being built. if your car is being built in any particular month then the dealer should be able to give a pretty good estimate by the start of that month as ford arranges their line up dates. premium sound delayed my car by about a week and as stated FPV appears to be a bottle neck.

Hi, just joined up.

I'm glad someone else feels my pain. Our "Silver Bullet" ticked pretty much all the options on the list back in January. Now I'm being told late MAY!

So far I've been told:

- There was a problem with the supply of the Premium Brake package.

- The GPS Nav system just didn't work, so if you ordered that, your car was delayed.

- The Premium sound supplier was waaaay behind in shipping goods.

Finally, it came down to the fleet company naffed up. Oh well...

Theoretically, I am down to the last week. All things going well it should be here in my hands next Friday afternoon.

I think more likely it will be the week after, it hasn't been to wholesale yet.

Delivery mix up now sorted out.

The right color (blueprint) XR6T auto with 18 inch wheels, premium sound is now scheduled for delivery to the dealer 24 March. The dealer seems to have made a big effort to minimise any further delay in delivery.

2 weeks to go

It's arrived and I've picked it up...

I am interested to know how long it has taken people to actually get their cars after they have ordered them?

I ordered one 13 Feb and am still waiting.

Is there any known production problems or is demand high compared to production, or any other reason that you may know of?

I think demand has been far greater than expected

Our order was placed Feb, we were told April build, May delivery. After reading the posts here, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

yeah delivery can be delayed, seems to be dependant on options choosen, premium sound and sunroof seems to delay cars a fair bit. My SIDO number came thru last week, started build yesterday, est completion is 12th april after 2 days at FPV for certain options.

I ordered my ute on the 3rd of January,2003, and received it 18th March,2003. I heard there is a delay at the moment due to the runout of a specific part which unfortunately holds all the vehicles at FPV. This problem might be rectified by now as it wasn't major, but it's worth the wait.

Ordered mine 01 Jan. It was scheduled for a 28 March build with delivery around mid April. The dealer told me there was delays on premium sound and the turbo plumbing which was pushing delivery times back.
