Delivery Date When Do You Expect Your Xr6?

Sup, ordered the FG mkII XR6 Turbo manual with leather trim and hard tourneu... and that perfection pack?... Said to have the vehicle made mid March with delivery at the end of March early April....

So fingers crossed it gets here quicker then that

so last week I went into ford to buy my self a new 2013 fg mkii xr6 turbo manual in winter white all go ahead loan approved trading in my old ba xr6t ... so I get a phone call to day saying do you want the good news or bad I was like bad first ..he said ive looked everywhere and cant find you a car in you color or any color for that matter so I was a little hart broken thinking that in not going to get a new car then he said did you forget out the good news I was like what is it ? he said what im doing for you is we will give you a new 2014 xr6t for the same price we said to you and with all the extras at no cost ..... I was blown away but the other bad news is that I have to wait a month to get it so in January ill have a new car ! what do you guys think ?

and to add to the bad news just got done by them stupid mobile speed cameras not speeding in a bad buy but saving my car from being smashed .... oh well sh*t happens !

Got a very similar situation with a sour outcome.

Dec 28th The Fiance and I went into a dealer as they had the 2013 plate clearance and placed and order for White, Manual XR6T and got them to throw in a towbar. Got our own finance sorted, bit of back and forth. Eventually salesman gets back to me and does the good news, bad news thing. So a 2014 FG Mk2 XR6T was order (in white, with manual, no other extra's).

That was January 8th-ish. Was told to expect delivery mid-Feb. Which then turned into late Feb. Which turned into manufactured end of Feb.

After a bit of stuffing around with the dealer (not returning calls etc) on 19th Feb went in and had a loan car organised through them (mine had been stolen while waiting for the XR6). Was told then that car would be 2nd week of March no matter what.

Pick loan car up about a week later, get transfer to another salesman as the one I did the deal with got promoted to new car manager. Get told that car will be 3rd week of March.

Start of March I call to find out whats going on, get an SMS back saying "...Car to be manufactured end of March...". Ring new salesman and voice my disappointment and frustration. Ring new car manager the next day, get into an argument. Told if I didn't like it, he would cancel my order (remember, this is the salesman that I originally signed with). Cool down after a few days (long weekend).

Confirm order with the new salesman after long weekend, ring new car manager and leave a message on voice mail apologizing (and never hear back).

Sorry for the long read, but that's the short version.

From start of process, today marks 12 weeks. Looking at possibly another 2 weeks (hopefully)

But it's more satisfying with vinegar! Are you paying for the loan car?

No but the loan car isn't a very nice one. Someone else's trade in, a Dihatsu Terios with 220,XXX on the the clock.

Bugger. Does it drift and do hand-brake turns OK? Go well on the limiter?

I've made my fiance drive it. So now I'm driving her Mazda 6 (manual, turbo diesel).

I also got the same speil when I got approved for finance! didn't have the colour I wanted but I test drove a winter white one at around the same time in February... and they were going to sell me that one so that's really weird he couldn't find one.

Anyways I got told build date was last Monday 24-03-2014 and is now built and on the truck getting delivered to shop for extras!

They told me end of March and now they are saying latest 2nd week of April! If they keep this up I WILL cancel and get a Holden.

Just my 2 cents... Oh and I haven't started paying the loan off yet nor have I had the option of a car to drive around :/

A mate of mine looked into a FG XR6T but the waiting times were to long. Got a Bogan special Redline not as quick as my G6ET but geez its a much nicer car inside and to drive just not the straight line poke. When im up next year I will be getting one if the new falcon hasn't improved a lot.
