Well my Blood Orange XR6T goes on the production line on the 12th March (Today) and gets delivered to the dealer on the 20th of March so you are looking at 8-9 working days.

Mine is also Blood Orange....Maybe this is the start of that colour?... & as far as 8-9 working days to the dealer,..I'll believe THAT when I see it?

Dude, my xr6t ute was at FPV for 14 days so don't get your hopes up too high! 8 days between going to FPV and then your dealer is cutting it VERY fine, trust me, I am a statistic.

I am up here in Brisbane, and unless my ute has turned up since yesterday afternoon, it has now been in transit for 7 days. Geez, I wonder if I will get mine by the end of the financial year??? So close and yet so far.........

To top it off, it is absolutely pissing down rain here. I hope the boys enjoy the pre-delivery drive.

Delivery mix up now sorted out.

The right color (blueprint) XR6T auto with 18 inch wheels, premium sound is now scheduled for delivery to the dealer 24 March. The dealer seems to have made a big effort to minimise any further delay in delivery.

2 weeks to go

Ordered mine in mid December left Melbourne 11/3. Since order both dealer and FF have said mid March at the earliest. Spoke to FF late Jan and had a good chinwag with them and they were saying orders were going out to 6 mths. There was a prob with premium sound deliveries so I'd say the options might be a factor in delivery dates. I found Ford Customer Service very helpful (phone # 133673). give them a ring, SIDO # a big help in getting info. As I'm in WA the delivery from Melbourne to Perth time is longer (and dealer delivery charge!!). As a guide to a good price full fleet discount is 4.5k off RRP so you won't beat that, even had to sell my EL XR6 privately to get close to my asking price as the trade in price was an insult! And yeah can't bloody wait till next week!!

dkmaj,

As per most othre posts. Get the SIDO number first. Then you know you are in business. I woudl suggest that you add at least 5 or 10 days to the date they give you. Mine was due at the dealer yesterday (a few eeks ago.!) Now it is due next Thursday. We will see how we go!.

Once you get the SIDO number the dealer can tell by their system where the car is up to. Last Friday mine was in the Paint line. Also you can call the Ford Customer line and they can also advise where it is up to. Depending on options it can take a while at FPV if you option a Sun roof etc.

Good luck.

was told today, if wanted premium sound it would then not be available in April, other options are ok but there seems to be a limit per month of premium sound kits, not sure why?!?

Apparently the manufacturer is having problems keeping up supply due to demand :( :( :(
