rang to check up and now told no line up date set.

apparently there is a problem with the availabilty of premium sound.

anybody else heard this or waiting for a march build to be delivered?

I've got a delivery date of 16 April (confirmed twice) for a Blueprint (popular) & premium sound (factory build). This was for an order placed on 21 Feb. Original delivery date was to be 16 March but this has been delayed twice each time by a fortnight.

I'm hoping for no further delays as I'll get to run her in down to Victoria over Easter and my current lease runds out on the 19th April.

I've got a delivery date of 19/3. Spoke to a 'friend' inside Ford, who confirmed my car had gone into Paint yesterday, and will be at Trim line 1 by this afternoon or tomorrow (depending on whether Ford run the line tomorrow).

The car was supposed to go into Sheet-metal by Monday, but got delayed 3 days due to suspension availability.

My turbo ute was completed 'build' three weeks ago. It has been sitting at FPV for nearly that long waiting for the turbo plumbing - very long delays there!

So to avoid severe disappointment like myself, don't get your hopes up too high on the actual build completion of the car as I am still waiting and it looks like it won't be here until late next week and that will make nearly 4 weeks at FPV !!!!!!!!!! :(

Hi There,

Followed the thread, was concerned and rang my ford dealer.

Apparently, the ford system says delivery receipt on '14th March', but the car itself started build in the ford factory on the 4th March. Assuming that the car is built at the factory now and probably sitting at Tickfords ready for the turbo fitting, this does not leave much time to meet the 14th March delivery date (so I'm not holding my breath, so to speak!).

I ordered mine on November 8th so it has been a very long wait. Strangely enough, my pal also ordered one during the same time, and has not even got a SIDO number yet. I suspect that because I ordered mine through the company fleet system (one of the top 5 companies in Aust) there may be some urgency delivering my vehicle (probably due to some set SLAs between my company and ford). my mate ordered his direct via the ford dealer, hence potentially the difference in response from Ford.

I would strongly suggest to anyone out there who is currently thinking about ordering an XR6T to go via their company fleet management system if they have the opportunity to do so, especially if you work for a bank or a major company with an established relationship with Ford. I know its little solice to those guys out there who are currently stuck in the current situation, but perhaps may help stopping guys in future suffering the same fate!.

Some good news (I think).

I just got off the phone with FPV and my car is no finished and sitting waiting for transport up to Brisbane. They (FPV) quoted 10 DAYS!!!!!

I have now spoken with my dealer (who I know personally) and he has told me that in all fact it will most likely arrive here Tuesday/Wednesday next week. Here's hoping!!

So, some Citric Acid turbo pics next week
