Stripes

Why are stripes only for a GT?  That one still baffles me.

Just because Ford only put them on a car - doesnt make them the only ones who can / should.

Lots of you put 19 inch wheels on a XR6T, GTs have 19s - doesnt mean you are trying to copy them.  Quad pipes - on anthing, coloured parklights etc etc have no real use or need for any model - they just are there cause people like them.

I say if you want a strip over your bonnet - go for it, want a set of flames on your mirrors - do it.  Do what you want - and dont worry what others think.

I havnt seen many Falcons/GTs/Typhoons with stripes that look good to me, I dont reckon they suit the car.  Exceptions have been - Black GTs with silver stripes, and Toxic with stripes.  In almost all other cases - I reckon they all look better without any stripes, big wings, flames, fluffy dice.

I see the only reason that we have "Tranny Hunters" is that they want their vehicles to be more exclusive.  Would you abuse Ford if every XR6T came out with a bonnet bulge (due to a different intake system for example) and stripes on every car?  Are they Trannies cause Ford did it?

Sorry what I meant to say is that I dont go much on the stripes at all

But I totaly agree with you that anyone should put anything they want on their cars and f*ck what other people think like (TRANNY HUNTERS) if I want to put a GT wing , Typhoon bars or Gt stripes on my T I will do it and I couldnt care what they think I just like the way my T looks as is at the moment

theres a silver mitsu lancer around the corner with BF GT stripes ill try to get a pic tommorow it actually looks okay.

only thing I hate is GT stripes on XR6 NA's and XT's. Turbos, XR8's and typhoons are okay but I wouldnt put them on mine... to affraid of being hunted down

I prefer to leave the stripes for the GT. Particularly the bonnet stickers....

I did like the Stripes and very nearly put a set on my ute, until the local dealer here started to put them on every car in the lot.

mostly standard N/A XR6's, but XT's and SR's got them too, so iin my area there are about 30 falcons of all sorts with them.

No longer for me, allthough I dont mind them.

I had stripes on my Turbo and they looked good but I took them off again as I actually ended up liking the car more without them

If done well they come up pretty good.

My GT came with stripes and the bonnet bulge stickers and it looks far better than my turbo did.

Each to there own though.

If you have a GT go for it but if not I'll have to say no.

Be warned your about to get called a tranny.

Oh crap did'nt read the poll. YES. Its also depends on the colour of the car and the colour stripe package FPV offers with it.

Can you pick any colour stripes?
