Ok, im in a position of being very frustrated at the moment, I recently bought my new T and have since done 6000kms

The auto is very slick and shifts very smoothly, but when is any1 going to actually mod a T with this new auto?

Since this gearbox is used in cars such as the S-type R jag which has 300fwkw would it be safe to assume that I could have my car modded to the same power and not be concerned with the long term life span of the ZF?

Does any1 know when ford was testing these new autos to what torque and power specs they could run to without problems?

Will tuners have to program the auto seperate from the edit as it runs its own pcm module?

Any info and answers would be greatly appeciated!

I agree, I would hate to be the first one to find out how expensive the ZF is to repair or even worse replace :pinch:

I spoke to Dave @ Kewish the other day about the new 6 speed. He is getting one delivered before the end of the week and will start developing it straight away. In previous conversations he believed it should be able to cope with 300rwkw's. :pinch:

If someone gives me with a BF XR6T 6spd I'll be the test mule again. I'll get it into the 10's and let you know which bits didn't cope too well.

Geea.

F6 Tornado is already running 300rwkw in his Tornado A6.

Seems fine. Sweet as new.

Car is running rich with low boost as it only had 400km on it.

Read the BF F6 tuned thread!!

The old 4 speed was rated to 450nm, and seems to handle much more if driven with half a brain, I know you could destroy one pretty quick if you wanted too, but mine has had between 250-300rwkw from 4000km, it now has 67000 and is all good.

given the new 6spd is rated to 600nm, I could not see too much of a drama at toque level that 300rwkw will give you.

bear in mind, the edit cannot yet change anything to do with the 6 spd, mid march was the last I heard.

A friend has aBF phoon on the way, it is getting 968's, APS exhaust, fuel pump, edit, almost straight away, he is after 300rwkw, so we will know soon how it goes, he is hard on cars :pinch:
