Scored a SPORTS wheel on EBAY for $450 + $50 (roughly) to install.

:spoton:

See pic

FPV Wheel: Only real difference is a little disc with "FPV" on it in the bottom LH corner, big deal.....lol.

They are thicker and have a far better feel in yer hand. Albeit, a far worse feel in yer back pocket.

Whats the price as an option? $950?? A lot of money considering that is the exchange rate.

Cheers

Im 99.9% sure that the diference between the FPV, Sports and Fairmont Fairlane deal is just the finnish eg leather all round perferated, wood grain. The shape and the thickness is the same. They are all thicker that the standard one.

I find the grip is perfect and you don't find you are gripping it too far up the wheel. Instead, your hands are dead centre each side, really does feel a hell of a lot better then the standard (or momo) leather wheel. :crybaby:

I'm glad I got it installed.

I went into another dealer today as I am looking at getting a Focus for the better half (trying to convince her that a 6-speed manual turbo Focus will get her to mothers group in a lot more style....not looking good) and asked the sales guy if I buy a Focus form him, can he get me a XR Sports Wheel. He gave me nothing!!!

Yes I bought one of these babies direct (the FPV type) for a little over 600, they were a $650 option on the car from factory or $950 on the FPVs, dont ask me where ford get their pricing structures from coz they are crazy!!!

When I dropped my Turbo off and drove away in the GT the new steering wheel was very much different, nice to grip and fits the hand nicely :glad:
