Hi Guys,

My T's due for its 3000 complimentary service - No faults noted other than a few noises that may need checking - am considering changing the oil - was wondering what oils you recommend and if there is anything specific other owners think I need to have checked as a matter of course?

Cheers

I would get the oil done even though Ford will say its not needed.

Get them to put the stock oil in that they normally use.

I would also go over the car with a fine tooth comb to ensure any little things are fixed.

Hey J21 yeah mate get the oil change I did that also at my 3,000 service

what kind of noises are you getting is it frm the gearbox? If it is Ford will not look at it! as that's normal for them to do it? :spoton: is yours a 6 speed manual?

Thanks

Dal.

Agree with the change over to Magnatec. I'm getting the gearbox (coffee grinding machine ) noise in first and at low revs in 2nd and 3rd. Having it checked by my dealer. The most probable outcome will be that the noise will be considered a characteristic of the car (just like the surging in cruise ) and will not be touched by Ford.

2005 XR6T 6Speed Manual.

Thanks for the replies guys - much appreciated.

Should have mentioned 6spd Auto Silver Streak, Sports leather and premium sound, noises mainly from undercarriage - hard to pin down but none the less of some concern - will naturally as suggested ask the dealer to check closely - Was mainly wondering if there were any common problems anyone has experienced. Would also like Goldies contact info if avail'?

Cheers

John
