I have a xr6t and a mate of mine works at a ford dealership in town we tried something on the weekend we reflashed the computer with the software from a typhoon and it made a big difference the only thing is now the oil pressure light stay's on. I have searched the forums and have found posts that talk about the oil pressure light problem but no solutions, does anyone know how to resolve this is it because the typhoon has an oil pressure guage not just the light and the sensors are different or do they have 2 different sensors.

thanks for any help

I've just checked out the part numbers for the sender and they are the same and also checked out the wiring wich is also the same and checked the fpv guages and they have a seperate wiring harness and don't interface with the pcm at all, which leaves me to beleive the only other thing that is different is the instrument cluster, obviously it is different as it has the 8000 rpm tacho to start with, so does anyone else know if this may be the reason

I am only guessing, but ford might have set it up to show engine light , so accidents don't happen, like a dealer accidently loading a f6 tune into the standed xr6t.
