With the upgrade to the BF I think there's little in it when it comes to brakes. The BF is also 5 kW and 30 Nm closer to the F6 than BA.

The BA F6 body kit is not hugely different from an XR at a distance.

Interior features / luxuries is hard to compare without knowing the options the BF has.

I'm not sure there will be much difference in resale either. Even though it's XR6T / F6 it's also BF / BA.

Insurance on the F6 will be more expensive.

All that aside, he just needs to take both for a good drive. That will determine for him whether the F6 is worth the extra coin for him. He can't go wrong either way
