bad inferno Member 130 Member For: 19y 10m 14d Posted 11/02/06 12:44 PM Share Posted 11/02/06 12:44 PM I have been driving a BA MKII now for 4 months with the luxury pack that includes the sports leather....seats with the suede insert with circles.Anybody else suffer from a bad back in these seats ? Although they are firm the seat seems to not make enough contact with my lower back ...the lumbar support is too high...although I am 6'3" Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/23305-sports-seat-compfort-rating/ Share on other sites

Also I dont find the seats very supportive when the car is being pushed, the bolsters are too wide!! That said I fit snugly in japanese and european car sports seats so it must just be the fat aussie seats I slide around in. The backseats are the worst where I spend most of my time in the XR8. The headrests are just ultra small and dodgey and instead of support your head push into your back! Statey was much better in this department with adjustable headrests. HellionXR6T I'm Back!! Thats right, long over due! :) Lifetime Members 4,348 Member For: 22y 7m 26d Gender: Male Location: West Brisbane Posted 11/02/06 01:55 PM Share Posted 11/02/06 01:55 PM Sports Leather. Yep, same here - Luxury pack is great!!! I'm roughly 6ft 2" and I'm perfectly comfortable in them. Lot more comfortable then the cloth "plexis/nexis pattern" seats and I used to think they were one of the best seats I've ever planted my into. Phoon Hoon Member 156 Member For: 20y 2m 19d Posted 11/02/06 09:09 PM Share Posted 11/02/06 09:09 PM I am 6' and also find the lumbar support too high - it's halfway up my back, not near my lower back. I wondered if it had something to do with my side air bags that come out of the seats?Botom line is I find the lumbar support pretty useless as a result. They have been the best seats in any standard car I have ever ridden in. The only thing that beats them is a proper autosport seat.
