The car doesnt look too bad at all. 190kW 3.5L V6...sounds much better than the 380 (Magna) offering, and looks better.

Sorry 380, I think its RIP when the Aurion comes out, they are even making a supercharged version!

Its actually partially designed by the guy who did the BA Falcon.

You're right it doesn't look too bad at first glance. Would definately rate it better than the bitsnpieces 380.

Do you know what the RRP is?

very interesting isnt it

Expensive Daewoo and ford can only beat toyota in the large car market - now there will be a bit of a sweat in there respective management teams.

perhaps now both companies will regret some of their arrogance in dealing with warranty issues that I have heard on this forum and others.

I dont think I would buy one but the toyota looks the goods and the competition it will create will only benefit us

It says over 190kw. That new 3.5 V6 makes 201kw here in the new Camry and Rav 4, 230kw in the new Lexus IS350. The engine definatly has some zing. There has been several people who have matched the magazines time of a 13.6 ¼ mile already in the IS350. Car looks good, but they really needed to make a car off one of their rwd platforms to compete with Falcon and Late model camira I think.

The only problem is that it's FWD...

Australians have a pathalogical hate for large family sized sedans that are FWD... when will they learn? :hammerhead:

Exactly. They have some really nice RWD platforms now being used in the Lexus models. My guess is these are just to expensive to use and would make the cost of the car too much. However, surely they could modify one of these platforms to make it cheaper. Build it in Aust, offer a V8 model and add Toyota to the Aussie V8 Supercar series to give the old Expensive Daewoo VS Ford game a new twist :tease:
