I will see if ford dealer can put the BF bolts in, then if that fails I'll look at that stuff.

Why r the nuts single use?

Yeah it's a possibility of any of those bolts... I took one look at the heat shields and went NFW... I'll leave that to the service dept. When I say Turbo bolts are loose it could be any of the bolts on the exhaust, manifold or head side.

It's not a hard job now that I know what to do. It was straight foward until I undone the water pipe that cools the turbo bearing and I never had anything to stop the flow of coolant all hell broke loose as I was trying to find something to stop the flow :spoton: Ended up wrapping thread tape around it. Lost a header tank of coolant. :spoton:

Loosening of the bolts between the turbo and the manifold is the most common (had this issue become apparant on return to Melbourne from the snowies cruise...) issue of this type.

You can have Ford fix it but they will probably only use the same bits which suffered failure in the first place...

I had mine fixed at Nizpro using Inconel studs. No more problem. mind you this is an expensive fix because of the labour. Maybe the solution is to supply the studs and have ford fit...

Good Luck!

Ben.
