I see reasle with the 6 spd auto being better too, alot of city execs atc wont drive a manual, but will an auto, older couple with abith of cash, he wants a sports car, but she wants an auto.

my opinion only, I will be grabing a BF auto tornado as soon as I see one at the right dollars (used)

I dont really see city execs buying second hand cars, maybe if it was a ferrari but not a phoon, auto will still probably hold its value better as it is quicker and the younger crowd who cant afford one new, but can secondhand, will probably be more interested in that.

also the "if" I see over the ZF is that nobody as yet has found its breaking point and the ability to strengthen it... not a huge issue and I am sure it probably is as strong as the manual but you never know till one packs up and goes bang.

plus real man do it manual

Hey Guys,

Well its time to retire my modified VY SS and I have been considering a BF Typoon over the simple upgrade to a LS2 Clubby.

I work in a coal mine central queensland so the availability to shop around locally is impossible, I have previouisly just called, done the order and simply flew down and drove home.

I am chasing a Rapid BF Typhoon 6 speed with 6 pot Bremobs and 19", what price should I be expecting? I see from both sides of the fence fpv and hsv no-one is paying retail these days so really just looking for a platform to talk to with the dealers.

Any insight or information would be greatly appreciated.

there was someone who had 3 options on purchasing a phoon. he chose option 3 which was I think a 06 bf with 19's. He paid around 59k on the road. Look back several threads and you'll find it.

Your first problem will be they don’t do the RAPID anymore.

It has been withdrawn from the color list due to paint matching problems so sadly no more Rapid.

Id say if you want the six pots, Auto, leather, steering, 19” rims you will be a tad over $70k

:spoton:

I have also heard from a reliable source that Rapid will be discontinued after march this year.

Yeh well as mentioned above from a few people the Rapid has already ceased ???

The other colour that has taken my fancy is Bionic.

I will be leasing the car so unsure on how overall it will effect the purchase cost, I will need to talk to HR when I finally make my mind up between clubby or typhoon.

Meh, these old blokes just can't handle a manual box....

I think if your into drag racing and gloating, then the auto is a goer. If you just want a fun drive which still hauls, go the manual..

I agree the auto is good. Manual is slightly slower, amplified when more power is made, but it's still a nice drive.
