First let me apologise...... Sincerely. (Yes Claude I can be sensible)

No really.....I just paid the deposit.

It Isn't a Ford......

The story. People will remember that when my old employer went R over Z that the writing was on the wall for the T. So I just had to pull my horns in for a bit. Just like many other Forumphiles have done. The choice had to fit into a 3 year period, 40% residual and hopefully about $820/month. If I'd have gone with another T, I would only have done it on a maximum of 30% residual.

So, we already had a Focus (SWMBO's) and I still wanted all the goodies but a bit more swoosh than the Focus. Obviously, no GM products could be considerd and some of the others like Himonday, Prozon, Toymotor, Sangasong, etc were just too exciting.

Not much left. Subaru, Honda and Mazda. All good makes as far as I was concerned.

Sadly, the good ones from Honda and Subaru didn't make the cut in the price stakes though the Honda came very close. Accord Euro Luxury Auto, $850 @4 years & 30%. Subies were outa the park.

So she's a..........Mazda 6 Classic Hatch, Auto (5 speed) with Tint and Tow, In Radiant Ebony (Almost black with deep Burgundy) with Sand trim. Also got the 17" Wheels/Tyres from the Luxury.

All up including all on roads, stamp duty, finance fees etc etc. $814/mth @ three years and 40%.

I'm still :pinch: over not gettin another T or Phoon but Its only three years and I'll be there again.

Now all I gotta do is convince the boss (SWMBO) of the benefits of learning how she goes around Mt Cotton........

Anyhoo, should pick her up Friday just in time to Drive to Hervey Bay for the week-end.

That would have been a sad loss mack, but the mazda 6 is still a nice ride.

I suppose the mps was in the same catagory as the suby?

Sad to see ya loose your favorite ride there Mack but, as they say, having some wheels (even a Mazda) are better than having none at all. :)

Look on the bright side Macka, Ford own a big share of Mazda

Our second car is a Mazda 2, we took it 700km to pick up a bar because it would'nt fit in the T. The little Mazdaratti swollowed it up and come home like a rocket. Not to mention the fuel saving. :crybaby:
