We seem to have got off topic here (what's new).

For the record I believe the 12.0 second time in the manual F6 was with MT's, not a typical road tyre. The extra grip of the MT makes a huge difference, and that goes for autos as well as manuals. My guess is that there's .5 to .7 seconds difference using these tyres. It depends on how serious you are for bragging rights, and how much money you are prepared to spend.

If you wanted to drive a fast circuit car, why the hell did you buy a Falcon? I love my XR6T to death, but I have no doubt shes no circuit car, drag car, easy, but circuit, that's what little jap cars are for, like my last car.

Why would you be able to "smoke" my auto when others with similar mods / power levels (circa 250rwkw) have already posted ET's up to .5 second quicker than you have run in your 320rwkw tyre fryer?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I missed this bit..

It's because that .5 seconds is at the very start of the run..

I reckon on the street by 60 kph I'd be looooooooong gone..

Check the mph of guys running 12.80 in an auto.

I will just clear something up here. not having a go at anyone, just stating facts.

if one car does the quarter in 12.5sec@ 112mph for example a auto on standed tyres with about 250 rwks.

and another car with 350rwks say a manual runs 12.6 sec at 118mph on street tyres.

the car with the 12.5sec run (auto) is still ahead at the 400 meter mark, so even though the 350 rwks car has more horsepower , it will take more than the 400 m to catch up (both cars at this stage will be in exsess of 112mph, not 60ks)

but then the 350rwks would come past and make the other one look slow.

the manual car will get most of its mph in 4th.

have a race from 100klms, if you want to test what the extra 100rwks can do.

I agree entirely. But I've been the car with Jordak :spoton: , and I stand by my post :spoton:

I also think with a rolling start the auto would get crunched, maybe.

Just wait till F6_Tornado gets his mods finished on his new Auto Tornado. We'll have a direct comparrison..

at 100 kp/h the manual would blow the autos doors off, no questions asked lol

Yep, give me a mid/low 12 auto XR6T to race on the roll and I'll show them how a 12.9 400m 340rwkw M6 goes :fool::msm:
