Yea,mine does that...

vik... but drops down fairly qiuck,30 40 seconds ??? I reckon

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

You have a problem then!!!

3~4 seconds maybe but not 30~40 seconds.

any tuner can adjust this to whatever you want in a few seconds in the map ....uploding it will take longer than fixing it.

Mine shoots up to 1800 whens its cold and then comes straight down, spoke with Simon and he said to just send the edit box back and they will adjust it.

It's an icorrect dash pot setting ( from the tuner ) if I'm not mistaken.

If I am, please correct me, and enlighten everyone..

The cold start feature that some complain about is pre-programmed from Ford, hence stock cars do it too. Tuners can adjust this by tuning the idle_air correction maps. Dashpot on the other hand is a coasting throttle follower much like the dashpot function of a carburettor.

My T revs up to 2k rpm and then down again in 2-3 seconds, but as has been mentioned already, it only happens on a dead cold start. I also notice that the thermo fans seem to run a lot more frequently with edit, but I haven't noticed the temp gauge reading any higher than normal.

I assume this is to try to reduce some heat soak in the intercooler? :spoton:

This is with Capa 8psi generic on an auto T sedan.

Had the same problem with mine and KPM (adelaide) modded some of the "numbers" in the edit and it is back to normal, thank god. It took a couple of goes but all is kool :spoton: A 2000 rev on a cold start is not nice!

Because the engine is under absolute no load, taking it up to 2500rpm from cold wont hurt... Going any higher though, and you start slightly spooling the turbo... This is what can hurt....
