Won't do anything for performance. The computer in the T/Typhoon controls the boost pressure and will not allow a pressure increase over its programmed limit. By installing the better flowing air filter you allow the turbo to work a little easier, but it won't increase boost pressure and therefore no extra power.

If you are going to mod the intake system, you really need to do the lot (Air filter, Intercooler, Hoses etc) and get it tuned (psi increase) for the better airflow.

Rubbish.

At the Newcastle dyno day 2 completely stock T's were run with and without a K&N both gained 3rwkw, its not enough that you will feel it but you will notice the wastegate and blowoff a little more meaning there is more air in the system.. atleast that was my experience.

Please tell us how you arrived at this assumtion?

on a stock car, (NON typhoon) the additon of a K&N and a second CAI is worth about 10rwkw, with the K&N adding 3-5 rwkw.

I have seen this now on several cars on several differnt dyno's, they do improve performance, they also increase intake noise (your call on good or bad).

the best value mod is a second CAI, (non Typhoon), a K&N would follow closley behind.

wait until Supercrap has a store wide 25% off sale and grap one, or hunt on ebay, or even the market section here, many sell here used, and they dont wear out.

Im positive the K&N filter for the BA falcon is the same as the T and phoon, I had a K&N in my XR6T which is now in my Phoon, it looks like it is exactly the same filter and air box for all of the 6 cylinder Falcons....

Mate,

I put a K&N filter in the Phoon before I even drove it out of the dealers yard.

Pulled it straight out of the T and into the phoon....

The F6 ran 237 on the dyno at 6000 km's part of which I believe is the filter..

The other part is cause it got flogged from a baby... Hey nick

Try Go Gear Nang3. I think it is on the eastern side of Osbourne Park......on the other side of the freeway towards the Paddo....hang on that might not be ossie park...oh well out there somewhere. I have bought two K&N's from there before. I havnt put one in the T cos they did nothing for fuel consumption.....as expected!!!
