Rofl that is the funniest thing I have heard all day. The salesmen there know jack sh*t, The guy who sold me my car assure me it was a mark II. Even though it had no badges. Guess what it wasn't. And dont get me started on there service department the last service they said they could not even look at the gear box cause I have a edit. That is the first I have heard about my edit. The only reason I took it there because they amitted the salesman was a idiot who knew nothing and gave me $200 off my first service. Never again

Just rang the dealer up and talked to the sales lady who sold it to me, she is new and didnt no about the air bag so she asked the dealer principal and he was the one that said they where standard, Cant blame the staff if the big boss doesnt no his own product, waiting to get a phone call from him. Parts said approx $3000.00 to fit as it is a new dash wiring loom. Sounds strange I would think they used the same ones for all falcons. Will keep you all posted.

LOL seem they fogot to give me my $2000 cash back because it was a runout 05 model. Now they want me to sign a form to say that it was built into the discount they gave me. Fat chance of that. Should be a good phone conversation. :spoton:

I hope you can get the BOSS to recall the conversation with the sales lady - wanna takes odds that he doesn't?

If by chance you can get him to admit that he said it was standard then you say that you were prepared to pay the option price at the time you ordered the car and that is what you are still prepared to pay and not one cent more. It is up to the dealer to foot the cost for the entire work that has to be done to your car to fit the air bag. Except for the amount you are prepared to pay ie the listed option cost.

Or, you could offer to return the car to them and in return they could swap it for a car to the specs you require.

Don't back down on the $2000 rebate either.

Good luck.

I had the $2000 cash back for 05 models built into the cost of my deal but I was aware of this and it was clearly stated on the quote. If it's not writen into your quote then stick to your guns.

Sign something that gives then $2000 for doing nothing when your entitled to that money??? What planet are these guys living on...

To put my take on this they screwed up, they gave you mis-information, they have to bear the cost of that mis-information, as technically you have not got the product which they agreed to deliver to you (Ute with side air-bag) especially as you have paid them the agreed price for that product...

I'd stick to your guns, I'd even take this to consumer affairs (but then again I like a fight) and get them to install the side airbag at no cost and give you your $2000 which was not factored into the deals discount...
