Well my car is visiting Nizpro soon for a bit of work.Looking for around 300rwkw

thus my options are;

1. Cobra stage 1 + either the APS exhaust or the SMB dump/cat + I/C ,either a Rajab or PWR.

2. Cobra stage 2 with I/C, all the plumbing and intake etc and forget the exhaust mods.

So for option 1, is the aps full exhaust a better option or would the smb dump/cat be suffice considering the main restriction is in the cat.(the smb is about $500 cheaper too) Also with the I/C, is the Rajab bar and plate I/C a $400 better option than the PWR.I want the I/C black to maintain the stealth look.

Obviously option 2 is slightly more expensive but when I do it I want do it once and do it properly.

cheers guys in advance.

Whilst I wont dispute the gains from the SMB gear , the APS exhaust &cat is a great bit of kit (as are their I/Cs) if I could afford it I would have one hanging on the wall as well  It flows very well and is will support Hi power applications and has very little back pressure and looks shmick. It has no drone and sounds very menacing under load and back off.

Mate if you can stretch it consider option 3 APS Zorst/Intercooler and the full Cobra stage 2. Farking awesome

BTW I understand that APS hardware is now out of production

And before you ask I am not a damned stooge :spoton:

I'd go Cobra stage 2, as it's fully kitted; then cat change and possibly exhaust upgrade... this can take you up to around 330 rwkw on standard internals.

It's better to do an IC change before exhaust if you want to push up around 300rwkw, based on our mod experience over the last 2 years.

Not much to add to this except echo the previous posts.

I had 300rwkw with the APS Stage II kit and edit, but adding the Cobra Phase II kit transformed my car in terms of drivability and response. I would highly recommend the Nizpro kit - stick with it.

The APS exhaust is also a fantastic bit of kit and I am very happy with the combination of this with the Nizpro Cobra Kit if you really wanted to go the whole hog!

The bottom line is - you can acheive 300rwkw without the IC ect (ie at lower cost), but the car will sustain the power level far more consistantly and should be much more responsive and drivable with the plenum and IC option.

Good luck - if you go with the Cobra Stage II I am sure you will be very happy!

Cheers,

Ben.

Silverman,

I went with the Cobra Stage II, and can agree with the previous comments. Throttle response is much improved, and on the street makes driving much more pleasurable. Most of the time on the road will be at partial throttle, rather than at full throttle, so improved responsiveness (to stabs at the throttle !!!) will be really appreciated. I made well over 300 rwKW with the stock exhaust. Once your happy with the Stage II and now have caught the "bug", you can go with the SMB dump/cat, etc to gain more (but you'll be on the verge of requiring upgraded internals anyway).

Cheers

Robin.

Just a quick note for Buff, the APS gear is not out of production just some changes in the pipelines for distribution, etc. I can support the quality of the APS hardware without a doubt some of the absolute best for a T.
