I may stand corrected on my last post, However Wikipedia does contradict itself:

It states on a page about the XR6T: "The XR6 Turbo is based on the popular XR6 model - with minor extras and the major inclusion of a Garrett GT3540 turbocharger and front mount intercooler. "

Then on the Typhoon page it quotes: "The engine is based on the XR6T motor - with; a modified FPV airbox (with Duel Ram Air intakes), higher strength conrods, larger air to air intercooler, high flow exhaust system, higher capacity fuel pump, and a Garrett GT3540 turbocharger with an external gate (up from the GT3040 on the XR6T) running 0.64 bar of boost."

WTF?

The Times are correct as some of these cars are guns.

My totally stock F6 ran many 13.2's and F6BF's car ran a 12.9 on the night stock.

A 12.7 is not unrealistic if the conditions are right.

Mine also done a 13.1 with a 2050 6o footer stock.Love this car.

I dunno, to do 12.7 you'd have to be doing more than 175kph, more like 182kph (109mph)??

The 4.96 sounds very fast, some of the best run in stock phoons with 245rwkw wud be struggling to do 5.0 flat

maybe he's running a different fuel??

It could be those few extra k's up the top, or just as likely the 60ft time.

Maybe he was thinking about the boss engines when he wrote this up haha :Sug1:

:tonguepoke:

Maybe, I think we'd both be stoked to run sub 5's straight or bent!

Maybe the Wiki editor is bent! :10_7_3:

4.96 is a mad time if you can do that in any stock F6 or GT

I've got down to 5.1 0-100 in mine - stock. Exact same time 3 times in a row, using ZF in auto and manual mode. It hits 120kph before it gets into third... but haven't run a 1/4mile in it yet, maybe time to head to the track and sus it out.

The definition of Wikipedia...

'Wikipedia

A free content, multilingual encyclopedia written collaboratively by contributors around the world. The site is a Wiki - anybody can edit and add to an article. Offers quick understanding on controversial issues.'

Everything in wikipedia is written by anyone. 1/2 of it could be complete and utter bullsh*t.

And when it comes to cars, they're like people. No two cars are exactly the same. They will all run different times and they'll all have different power outputs. Like religion, it's an endless arguement.

Too true. Could be BS, could be true.

Isn't really an argument - no doubt there is a huge variation in stock performances. I think that's what this thread points out.

It's really just about how fast can a stock F6 go?

Would be interesting to see what is the quickest a stock F6 can do 0-100 and 1/4 mile (including all stock variables - run in, oils fuels etc, but no engine mods).

We all know how modded T's and F6's can warp time....

I was a bit bored to I decided to look up "F6 typhoon" on wikipedia and it came up with this....F6 Typhoon

now what im confused about is it claims the F6 has a GT35/40 turbo and the XR6 turbo has a GT30/40 I was always under the impression they ran the same turbos? can anyone clarify this?

Its the same turbo mate, there is such a turbo as the 30/40, but I believe Ford and garrett developed the 35/40 specifically for the 4L engine - someone correct me if I'm wrong
