Enough of the jokes about Saleens' mum. She's a nice lady.. Tounge is a bit rough, but a nice lady.....

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

She's popped in back in 2003 and still wont leave and only three weeks more you say Lumpy :o

And its not just her tounge either :o

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Oh no - she's pretty rough all round

Being a cop is a thankless job made worse by todays societies lack of respect for them. It doesn't help when the courts let the crims go with *beep* all penalties.

Anyone that attacks a police officer obviously has a complete disregard for the law and is a danger to society. If I was the cop, in the middle of no-where with a crim punching the crap out of me I would have shot the f*cker too.

Geea. :glad:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

:o

If it makes all the other low life scum think twice about comitting such an offence then it would all be worth it......nothing wrong with a bit of cleansing of the gene pool.

I do feel sorry for the poor copper though - either way his life is f*cked now.

Typical, the cop will go to court.....LIE........and get away will just a loss of job.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

you are an imbicile.......

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

:o again. Some people have opinions and are entitled to express them; but some people are just just arrogant and stupid.

Lumpy - that slant you added to the story made me change my mind slightly - previously I would have said that anyone who attacks a policeman has disregard for their own life in my opinion, and gets what they deserve.

However if the guy is like your brother - and not quite right in the head it is different. But surely the problem is that the mental health system isnt providing adequate care?  People with problems should either be treated, or kept in a situation which protects them and the community.  You cant unfortunately expect a Policeman to know the difference between a paranoid person and a inherently violent person?  When they are put in a situation of risk, I think they have the right to protect themselves.

We had a guy in NZ go nuts after having P - and sliced off a womans arms with a samurai sword, then attacked other people etc etc - he was shot I think, but only injured - now he is in jail.  He looked completely mad at the court trial - and you could see he will never be right again - scary to have him running around the community again in a few years.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I agree that the mental health system should provide adequate care!! However its all good in theory because in reality there is little or no support .... at least not until its too late.. Its a very frustrating and draining situation.

I just heard that on the radio then too

Turns out he was the next door neigbour of those two 20 year old sisters who were murdered the other day, and was doing a runner across australia. Hence the stealing fuel.

Maybe he panicked when picked up buy the copper??

If this is true those two bullets were too good for him.

Latest from News.com.au

Shooting-death murder link

I heard on the news this morning that the Officer was a fire arms instructor.

He was obviously an experienced officer and it looked like there was more to the story. This murder link could explain the irrational behaviour.

I thought there was a policy of not having police out on patrol alone.

No, please do continue; I know I would certainly appreciate comments from "your side of the fence". And then there is always the ignore user feature for those that don't :spoton:

After everything I have read here I am glad he is dead. Actually if he was still alive I would go kill him personally. Twice if not more.....

With a gun too... A big one.. 30/06 maybe....

Desperate acts can sometimes lead to tragic events.

Such is life.
