[quote name='hrb93' date='Jan 31 2006, 08:20 PM']The "CATS" i have seen with a metal honeycomb core, people were calling "Metal Cats".

If these are only like the magic, i believe the magic still flow better.

534 CFM for Metal Cat
754 CFM for Magic cat
Magic cat is smaller, lighter, cheaper and newer technology.

534cfm is for the 3' model mate.... this group buy is for the 3.5.

I had a family issue over the last few days which stopped me from getting my car done, so I will go into the group buy as well, I will just ask Spiro to fit it. I will email my contact and ask him to drop the price by $20 saying people are swaying towards magic cat, a bit of healthy competition.

From the results, we can see Metalcat is better then magic, but this new cat seems to outflow all, what is the price ? can we get it for $250 ?

We tested the “Magic Cat” and “Metal Cat” using their own 3” fittings welded to each end and compared the flow with our Ballistic Cat with 3” pipework welded to the ends and here are the results:

Magic Cat 4” body with 3” ends - 546.6cfm

Metal Cat 4” body with 3” ends - 629.6cfm

Ballistic Cat 5” body with 3” ends - 706.2cfm Edited by FR33DY

$400 compared to $280 for a 10% increase flow rate is not the best value for money

What is the flow rate of the rest of the stock system?

If the centre muffler for example flows @ 540 is there any benefit in getting a cat that flows @ 750?

Whats the flow rate of twin 2 1/2 inch pipes or 1 X 3" for that matter, anyone know?
