OK guys.

As Jet mentioned, I've picked up the Brisbane units today and they look great! I was surprised at how light these metal cats are. Can't wait to get mine in. :spoton:

The guys at PSI Products wanted me to post a confirmation that the units are being shipped out tonight. So hang in there guys, they are coming!!!

For all of you that are hanging to get your hands on the unit, here's a happy to tide you over.

Cheers

Thanks again Fr33dy for setting this up. :spoton:

I hope all you guyz who are fitting these Cats get a dyno and re-tune before you drive the vehicle with them fitted especially if you fit two.

Changing one will have minimal effect but two will destroy your current tune as it won’t be able to handle the difference in back pressure.

I posted in another thread where I did mine and the A/F went from 10:1 to 14:1 at full noise so BEWARE or pay the price.

I only drove mine from the hoist to the dyno which is 20 Foot away so I knew before I hit the street, and if there is no tuner at hand then you basically can’t drive much more than ½ throttle without risking damage.

The edit will need to be adjusted to suit and if you don’t have an edit then don’t change the cats.

Good advice. I might even get my tuner to install it.

[quote name='Terebro' date='Feb 8 2006, 01:37 PM']Greg do you think this will be less of an issue for those fitting just one MetalCat?

I still think that the improvement in flow will have an effect.

Mine won't be going on until the car is ready to have everything installed at once and a retune. :spoton:

Travis one will make a difference for sure but no where near the difference two will. Either way after any modifications of any sort it should be STD practice to check it or face the consequences.

I personally wouldn’t bother with just doing one as I fitted a single 3.5 Difilipo first only to remove it and go twin Metal Cats and there is absolutely no comparison whatsoever.

Ok it cost a bit more but its better than doing it again later or trying to produce power while you have a cork up its ass.

I suppose at the end of the day if you change it > don’t dyno and re-edit it > drive it > throw a rod > you can just blame the tuner as most people do now….. Its always the tuners fault or a dodgy edit….Never the loose nut behind the wheel that drove it not knowing what was happening with Boost and A/F as he was too tight to pay for a dyno and re-tune.
