The quad pipes look great...but, err, are they really necessary on an inline 6...we're dealing with one exhaust manifold - not 2 like on a V8.  :o

E46 BMW M3. :o

...Necessary? probably not.

Look cool and sound great... hell yeah! :o

:o

Somehow I dont think 4 cannons sticking out of the middle of the boot would have a positive effect on the looks of the car :o

But I am sorta in agreeance about the whole quad pipe thing... it isnt necessary on a 6cyl, and kinda in a way it would seem a bit strange to have them, but it doesnt mean I dislike the look of it.

I would be happy to get twins though in the stock position.

Gday All,

Just got back from Herrod... all fixed. The dealer was full of it. They put a mounting bracket on back to front and that made the whole thing skewiff. But they were right when they said the left sticks out more than the right, its just its a few mm not inches!!! I looked at it fitted on an xr8 (a cop car mind you) and mine is now the same.

But im happy now anyway.

And I dont understand why people are questioning it. Isnt the standard factory system 2 pipes anyway?? All its done is redirect ono to come out the other side of the car then bolted on some new rear mufflers with 2 outlets!! Why you ask??? Because it looks f*ckin :+1::msm::+1:

And as to the question of why isnt it an xr8... I didnt know 8s had quad pipes??? Its hard to see them in my rear view mirror..... :tease::msm:

:pooh:

Well after writing that last post I went to take some pics. I noticed that athough it was much better the left was still lower than the right. Couldnt be f*cked driving back to herrod so went down my local exhaust shop and asked them. They agreed and cut 10mm off the left mounting bracket and rewelded it, fixing the problem. (and they did it for a few cans) I also noticed that the left muffler is twisted slightly. And another reason it looked f*cked is because the dealer did a bad job of cutting the rear bar, making the cut out about 20mm smaller than the factory one on the left.

My point being this, if I had of known about all this crap I would not have bought this system. I wouldve had a system custom made (for less im told) at my local shop. It looks good now but I think I spent to much cash and time on it.

In future I will avoid herrod.
