Breaking traction at those levels will come down to tyres. If you get some of the better tyres you will have to try to break traction in the dry. If you get crap tyres you'll be breaking traction all the time. In the wet you need to show the car alot of respect and possibly on days when it's going to be wet all day flash in a lower powered map.

I usually run 330rwkw's and I have trouble breaking traction in the dry with my current tyres, (Michelin Piolt Sport PS2's 275/30/19's). With my old Hankook 104's I would regularly break traction in the dry with my 275rwkw map.

A good tune with those mods would be around 250rwkw's.

Geea.

Mine will break traction in 1st gear - its steps out, but in a very predictable way.

In 2nd gear, no.

In the wet, I drive it pretty easy and show the car some respect. I cant say the boost ever comes on unexpectedly. You get to know your car and know what its limits are.

C'mon guys in all seriousness.

I'm after comments  from people with 240kw-280kw level:

- straight line traction 1st & 2nd gear (do the tyres loose grip - how much, doesw it step out on you)

- Wet conditions, does the boost come on unexpectidly on light throttle

thanks

I have 285rw and an auto. If I take off in the dry with TC off I will get wheel spin and stepping out for a bit with factory Dunlops.

Wet conditions... stay off the right pedal With TC on or off.I tried to beat a line of traffic in the wet one day with TC on and will never try it again. Just remember dont floor it in the wet.

These cars handle very well and even if they do break traction its easy to control it. With 260 rwkw you will be fine, you learn what your car can and cant do. You will get used to the power and wanting more anyway. In the wet is a different story though.

I've got 263kw at the treads in an auto and it's boring!!!! :spoton: my tune isn't very exciting (not a lot of midrange)!!! can't furken wait for it to get retuned!

only just breaks traction in the dry on cold nights/mornings! even in the wet it isn't very eventfull! if you only want mid to high 200s you will be fine!

cheers kym

You know you have too much power when............your tyres start shuddering as you approach the car or ..........when your 7yo son thinks the cars cooler than PSP.
