I would only consider an auto on a turbo anyway. On a NA car it is always manual. Of course why we can't get an affordable sequential manual in an Aussie car is upsetting, as this is the ultimate IMO.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Surely someone like Mal Wood would be able to change your gears and shyncros for dog engaged gear sets (to allow for fast changes without needing to use the clutch), and then adapt to sequential change?I have a box with dog gears in my Cobra, and you can change gears as fast as the stick can be moved, which is really fast (The synchros slow the change down normally). I have had people ask if has a sequential change (which it doesnt - but is available apparently). You could probably even use the edit programming to allow for flat shifting (edit reduces throttle while in neutral momentarily?) and even launch control? Is this possible in the edit????

Posted 30/01/06 03:42 AM Share Posted 30/01/06 03:42 AM A majority of people would be after what would be quickest at a traffic light duel or on the move from say 80kmph. Not many will get to the track for either 1/4 mile or circuit racing. That being said a modified auto will always beat a similarly powered manual at traffic light duels. If anyone would like to argue I'm happy to meet any (REPEAT ANY) manual T owners at a set of lights and run to the speed limit. This is what most people will be concerned about when wondering if they are quicker than the next car. The same could be said for that favorite bit of twisty road. In the end get what makes you feel good but if you want to win traffic light duels buy an auto. Geea.

Geea. no one is arguing that point... of the line (one manual one auto, both with lets say 280 rwkw) the auto will win, no contest... everyone knows that... but at 80kph on the roll as you suggested, you would not have that huge advantage anymore of the take off.modified autos are quicker off the line and make for the best 1/4 mile car unmodified the manual is quicker

LOL, how does fukc off sound not bagging autos at all...... would seriously consider the new 6speed auto... as soon as the left leg can no longer push in a clutch.
