A local shop got a dyno and put on a day for the locals, decided to run the Typhoon up for a run.

Results :

228.86 RWKW (306.9HP)

709.23 Nm Torque (523.1 Ftlb)

I also ran up my coupe and the results were consistant with other dyno runs at different shops, however the torque figure seems huge......can this be correct ?

My brother also ran up his car and the results were also spot on !

Only mod to the Typhoon is a K&N filter.

Is 709 rwNm right?

I know, its huge.......I would think it was impossible out of a stock car.

It's only cause I thought a stock bufoon was 550Nm at the flywheel. Power reading definately looks right though.

What gear was the car dyno'd in?

550Nm at the flywheel is multiplied through the trans and diff and will usually give a higher reading at the rears.

The lower the gear tested the higher the torque figure shown.

RWKW seems about the mark , mine stock made 228 also. The nm reading seems excesseive by a fair margin unless it is on the Gooses Dyno :fool: .For context the Goose apparently makes 950nm @ 345rwkw and Extreme F6 840nm(ish) @ 400rwkw and he is a tuner so go figure

I will consult my stock dyno sheet when I get back to Sydney and let you know. I can guarentee however it is not within a bulls roar of what has been quoted
