well ive achieved what I think is a pretty damn good result considering what ive spent but im after the next level, with my current mods on octane boosted fuel I achieved 302.4rwkw with:

ASE Intercooler

3.5' Metalcat

2nd CAI under headlight

Custom tuned edit

K&N Filter

im after about 290-300 Daily map on BP Ultimate only and would like about 320-330 race map with boosted Ultimate.

what do you guys think would help me reach these numbers for the least amount of $$?

im thinking injectors and springs.

One thing I am getting VERY sick of is blowing my bottom cooler hose off ATLEAST 5 times a week when I hit boost... I want to get custom piping but my aim was always to keep under the bonnet completely stock to avoid un-necessary attention from the boys in blue.. not only that, but custom piping would be hard with my intercooler as both pipes come from the same side as the stocker does. and if I do run piping I still want to use my airbox, no pods for me plz.

so all in all what do you guys suggest could be the "next step"??

Try here.

thanks.

It would appear to me that Trough is an enthausiest who loves his cars and drives them hard. To the best of my knowledge, he has not blown a motor and achieved remarkable power with few mods.

Now he wants to know what could help him move on to the next level, by his own post this would include upgraded injectors.

I say give him some answers and stop turning this into a debate about power output from standard injectors, and the tuner who managed this.

thank god there is someone on here who is interested in ALL ANGLES of scepticism about these cars and their capabilities.

thanks KS, the forum needs more members like you.

and ST, the 337 was "claimed" with EMS, I dont run EMS, now if u dont mind ill ask this as a favour, it shouldnt be to hard to do so heres my request:

"ST: please dont waste your time posting in this thread any longer, I dont care what you have to say weather its the answer to my prayers or not. GOOD BYE."

to whoever asked, I make 276 on bp ultimate and 249 on 95 octane.

there are no secrets here so dont hesitate to ask.

I have around the same power as you and have not blown a hose yet.Im running 12 psi.

What psi are you running?

You will have to get rid of the stocko clamps then

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

ove tried 1 clamp,2 clamps, fat clamps, 2 skinny ones, every bloody clamp you can imagine!!

its running 15psi on my big map, but its even doing it on my low map.

if I do the clamps any bloody tighter im scared im gunna crack the flange on the IC!!:censored:

302 on tolly...so what have you achieved on pump 98??????...

You have boasted this 302 on the forum and keep telling everyone with similar mods to you have to achieve 302..You have forgot to tell them that your fuel not 98...

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

ummmm, find one post where I was mis-leading people into thinking I made my numbers at the comp on ultimate only fuel....:censored:

I clearly posted that night I competed in the comp that I used I quote "Bp ultimate with Nulon Pro strength octane booster and 700mL of toluene"

your not from SA are you??........

Troughy,

If that is the case, definately look at doing your injectors as they will be limiting you from going further. Valve springs will also need to be done, if not now, with increased power definately.

Injectors and springs will cost you about $1600-$1800 all up so its not huge dollars to take your car to the next level.

Good luck.

DOes the intercooler have a raised bit on the inlet ? I mean I run upwards of 23 to 24 pounds on testing on my F6 with just one of those norma clamps nuthen flash, never blowen one off.

thanks flukey, you think I would need the wastegate actuator done yet? it would only run 300+ map on the dyno or track which is VERY rare in this town, so I doubt id need it for moderate street use??

im thinkin springs, sprays, custom zorst. I got a mate in the stainless food grade welding area who I can get cheap as hell high polished 3.5' 7m lengths

I might have to sit down the with tig one day and see what I come up with...

yeah its got the raised bit on the end. ive even tried butting the clamp up against it but still no go!

it was fine for months!! then one 40+ degree day it came off on the dyno and it must have stretched the rubber pipe or sumthing, cuz no sh*t it blows off EVERY BLOODY DAY!!!

happened twice today im getting VERY fed up with it :gooff::gooff:
