Even if Ford did a light weight version of the falcon it would cost twice as much because of the development!Fact is cost of making a Falcon noticably lighter will far out-weigh the benefits if you ask me. The big falc is designed to be a comfortable "Grand Tourer" - not a lightning quick track car like a lotus elise.I think alot of people take the comfort of a falcon for granted. Before you want to start chopping bits out, throwing away sound deadening, replacing parts etc etc, go and hop in a lightweight modified track car and drive it to work and back for a week or two - I can gaurantee you'll be craving your big hunk of metal falcon in no time! Lightweight is awesome for the track, not Australian everyday roads!

Not to say that saving weight is pointless, it makes a big difference.I just find something cool about a full weighted car that goes very fast Maybe when I start doing qtr miles I'll hit up the gym to lose weight to make car go faster, 100kg I reckon I could take 10-15kg off my weight haha! turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 22y 7d Gender: Male Posted 25/03/13 09:57 AM Share Posted 25/03/13 09:57 AM I'm thinking about having a penile reduction to save a few kilos. I might have mentioned that in this thread in 2006 and 2009. Just thought I would mention it in 2013.

No coincidence I got 11.94.
