Well as we all know our little beasts are rather portly things. Tipping the scales at roughly 1760-1800kg I believe(anyone have an exact figure?). So I am wondering where there could be possible weight savings. I've got the AWC carbon fibre bonnet which I don't know saves maybe 2kg(but atleast it looks good :P) but I also still have in storage my old bucket seats from my Expensive Daewoo ute

which I think would have a significant saving over the larger leather sports XR seats (does anyone know what these wiegh as well?). Are there any other options? I don't really see much that can be removed from the cars unless we go to extremes and take out the back seats which I'd prefer not to do.

I weighed by BA auto sedan on a public weighbridge and I had barely any fuel at all - tipped in at 1700kg on the dot.

Std brakes and std sound system. Spare present in boot too.

hmm.. rear sub will prob come out to make way for a proper amp/sub which I can then just remove when going racing. Rest of interior I spose I need as it is a daily driver. Not many options I guess.

Then again a nice light weight set of rims would help too over the standard items.

I would have to strip everything to make a substantial difference. Or I could just go on a diet.

I'd kick the missus out!!!

HAHAHA

The original question isn't real serious one is it???

Ford put all his extra stuff in to weigh it down!!!

Besides ripping trim, how far do you wnt to go, you could pull the carpet & remove all teh sound deadening, but I doubt your'e serious enough for that!
