Having said that, if you can wait another couple of months, maybe less, BF's will be turning up at the same price.

The best colour is the one your happy with, the only one I would not go with is mence, yuk!

If you go for the most popular colours soon you will get sick of seeing that colour on nearly every other XR you pass. They are just too common, that's why most blueprint and shockwaves are turned into trannies,

What did you say :gooff:

Hey Guys,

Im also about to buy an XR6T. Basically its currently being leased, with it ending in a few months. It my brother in law who works in the car industry. He is in his 40's and is a

sensible regular driver ( non hoon). The car has done about 60k, always serviced garaged etc. It has the premium sound and towing pack. and is dark grey ( not sure on the correct color name). Im getting it for 25k. As he is passing on the discounted price he bought it for ( and his next car is a Mk11 XR6T)

I have been a Expensive Daewoo boy all my life and am selling my VN, as I can now afford a better car, and the stigma of a VN is getting to be a bit too much.

So in a few months im going to be crossing over to the dark side!!!

anyways...sound like a good deal?

sh3p,

It's OK for mainstream ie: Dealers price guide.

BUt for Private sales and auctions, no not the best.

ie: 05/04 build XR6t, 41,000Kms, Grey, $25,250.

Where did you manage to find this gem? Did you actually go and look at it? take it for a test drive? check it's history? or are you still doing research?

$25 250 sounds like a rip off compared to the one you found the other day anyway.

11/04 BAMKII XR6T, 40,000kms, Red, Sunroof, Prem, Leather. Went today for $24,500.

Got me beat how you find so many cheap cars that have nothing wrong with them and yet you still don't have one.

But then again if you wait till 2009 you could proably pick the next model XR6T up from the auctions fairly cheap. it will be much better than the BF

First time to the site, really impressed so far.

Hey everyone,

Am also about to buy an XR6T Ute 2003. Took it for a drive yesterday and all was good. The guy who I am buying it off was really cool and honest about the cars history; 1 question for anyone is about brake shudder?

He mentioned he had to take the car back to ford after 30k's to repair brake shudder, is this a serious defect that will re-occur or now that it is fixed is that the end of it
