Buying Xr6t Question

Hey Guys,

I have today found a Turbo I am pretty sure I will buy.

My question is, what is the general consensus on colours. I don't really care about colour, and have only just joined the site, so I just want to know what are the most popular colours, colours people would never buy ect ect.

The car I found is Winter White, which I like, but I thought it may hurt my reslae value.

The car is pretty standard, 2005 Auto for only $26,500.00, with 51K. I think it's a sensational deal. What are your thoughts?

Regards

Darren

Hey Darren,

I've always had white cars until the Phantom. I just felt the white wasn't the best colour to represent the XR6T, but having said that and despite having relatively high km's on such a young car, you just can't go wrong with a price like that.

Especially if you don't continue to clock up too many km's in the near future.

Any other options besides SSS Auto???

Make sure you get a thorough inspection from someone who knows what they're looking for in an XR6T. Goldie would be a good place to start if the car is on the Gold Coast.

Good luck with it mate, we may see you on a cruise real soon.

Regards

Big AL

The best colour is the one your happy with, the only one I would not go with is mence, yuk!

If you go for the most popular colours soon you will get sick of seeing that colour on nearly every other XR you pass. They are just too common, that's why most blueprint and shockwaves are turned into trannies,

Blueprint is the way to go if you can afford it but I suppose you have to start somewhere with a white grandads colour!! you might even get some part time work doing weddings on the weekends? good luck with it all. welcome to the "T" club. also strange how you say you don't care about colours then you say you like the white? are you trying to convince yourself that white is a good colour for a Turbo? in my opinion white is not a colour for a Turbo and more suited to a fairlane. but you make your own mind up as the choice is yours and not everyone likes my blueprint with a carbra used for long distance, they would rather have stone chips and bugs!! go figure.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the quick replies.

If it doesn't appear white is not a no-no for re-sale, I will more than likely buy the car, if it's not sold.

The car is ex Government, but not police it appears. I will find out it's exact origins tomorrow.

I will only do around 15-20K per year, so that's why im not too worried about k's. It will take me a long time to rack up the 200K my current car has!

Cooltint, I may be in need of your services soon!. Can you let me know which tint company you represent? I recently had the partner's Mazda done at Mastertint. They did A good job but I think were expensive.

Will keep an eye out for the first cruise, I'd love to attend.

Regards

Darren
