Why do people take there cars to ford for anything but warranty work,places like ultra tune do log book servicing and its not touched by monkey's that go looking for a reason to void your warranty

That's a pretty big generalisation of Ford service departments.

If you didn't have a service department that was any good near you then I can see your point. If you do though why not use them?

I agree. I've been upfront with the dealer I use, and they have no issue working on the car. Everything that I've replaced isn't covered under warranty. The rest is.

Simple.

until everything that you "havent replaced" breaks... it will then be deemed broken due to your mods and hence no warranty... simple.
