Should be easily changed in the settings when they plug in their computer..

The panels are all the same, its just how they are programed that's different, even an XT one can be set up like a Ghia or factory Typhoon one where it doesnt show average fuel etc.

FPV have 8000RPM Tacho and go too 270km/h I believe

No sh*t , but what we are refering to, which is the digital readout screen, can display the same information no matter which model you have. They all can have the settings changed on them with the dealer WSD computer system. This allows dealers to change the Kms on them (like when adding a new cluster to a car with 20,000 on it, they can set this on it), whether it is to have police mode on it, or whether the car is fitted with the luxury ICC and does or doesnt need to have the trip computer function showed.

It therefore has nothing to do with the speedo or rev meter, but thanks for pointing that out... Therefore in reply to the thread starter, this is an easy fix providing the cluster they have placed in the vehicle doesnt have the trip computer button to the right of the cluster and just has the 2 buttons to either increase or decrease the brightness of the cluster. If it has the trip button then they will have to replace the cluster with a sedan one, and not a Tornado one :spoton:

Well the reason I ask was when my car was in for its 1st service we had the instrument cluster replaced under warranty due to a scratch on the panel....I now have 2 (two)  yes 2 trip computers one under the tacho and the other on the ICC.. I rang ford service back as my wife collected the car.....and they thought that was normal.....bloody idiots.... They said they would look into it, got a call back a couple of hours later telling me, nope that's how it is and they do not have different instrument clusters for the FPV range.

I asked them to check my old panel because its different, but was told its gone through warranty and they can't access the old panel to check the part. Can you believe this crap...

How the hell can I explain to these idiots that they have f*cked up ?

Maybe you should get off your high horse and re-read the thread.

Um hes saying the Digital readout is different, he hasnt said the actual cluster is a NON FPV one has he?? If there was a scratch on the cluster the dealer should have replaced the perspex and not the entire cluster neways... If its a NON FPV cluster then they have obviously f*cked UP, but if its an FPV one they have either put a PURSUIT / TORNADO non luxury pack one in, or either not programed the new one so it does not display the trip computer!

Im only reading what hes complaining about at this point, so before you come here telling me to get off my high horse, have a logical think about what hes talking about!

Next time ill save myself the bullsh*t and not reply.

Somehow id hardly think they would replace the panel with a non FPV one as all warranty orders are done thru the computer via the SIDO number, therefore it would have known to order an FPV one.

Neways we will wait and see what his reply is, I have offered my thoughts on how the problem can be rectified if it is an FPV cluster that's either from a utility or not setup properly, if its not even an FPV cluster then im wrong, not a bigdeal. :spoton:

Firsty, sorry for starting a sh*t fight....

Secondly, I maybe should have been clearer with my comments.

Ok - The unit is FPV however as noted in the above comments it does have the trip button under the brightness button and therefore needs to be replaced again. So if they order off the Sido how can they get it wrong ?

There are two different styles of digital readouts on the cluster.

The highend models have a different readout under the tacho (impossible to show trip functions) and no trip button on the righthand side.

Your owner's manual clearly shows both types.
