I am dead serious.

Go and do some volunteer work at the RSPCA and see how people treat animals.

Threads like this are sick in themselves. Joking about hurting animals - real funny.

Any moderator can have a go at me anytime they like over this subject.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Sixfan does not condone cruelty to animals.

Even cats.

even cats that scatch his T.

This was meant to be in Jest, if it offends, sorry. But nobody is actually talking about tortureing cats. just shooting them, a practice the RSPCA undertakes and condones on populations of Feral animals.

Nuff said.

Mods, make the call, lock it if you deem it as required.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Nah, I won't lock it. There've been plenty of threads about cats before.

How to stop them climbing on your car.

How to stop them putting fur on your favourite lounge chair.

Even recipes ...

Hey some people like cats and some people don't - just like spewprint.

Personally, I reckon something that you call pussy can't be ALL bad.

I agree F6,

Being cruel to animal for fun is not on, I know the guys here are decent people and would not harm a cat for fun, that is cruel.

Shooting them however is not cruel if it is done properly, just like every other bit of game, they should be finished of as quickly and efficently as posible.

I use a 25-06 with 75g spitzers at around 3800fps, nice, clean instant. works on all thin skin game from bunnies to goats and all in between.

anythin bigger I use the 120gr soft point at 3300fps, great for cops.

Cruelty to animals sucks, anyone who does it deserves what they gave to the animal, period.

There was a neighboring ginger tomcat roaming our farm, many years ago, looking for an easy lay. (we had a couple of female moggies to keep the mice down) .

He'd come around, slinking and meowing, with his tail up in the air.

Now I was a young kid, and had a low powered model 16 air rifle which was great for shooting over 20 metres into cardboard boxes. Wouldn't even draw blood.

I know, cause I shot myself in the foot accidently :pooh: - just a small 3 mm bruise. Anyway, I had run out of slugs.

Being the typical resourceful lad of the land, I found that wheat pellets (our chook feed) would neatly fit into the bore, and although it wouldn't shoot straight over any length, it was reasonably accurate over 5 metres. and had a nice pointy end.

Now I spied this ginger, and he was marauding around making a lot of f%^in noise lookin for a shagg. I took position behind some empty bushels, where he couldn't see me.

As he turned towards the shed, he gave me a perfect target to aim for.

With his tail straight up, his date was pointing straight at me. From only about 10 feet away, I got a clean shot right on his date. :spit:

Man, funniest thing I've ever seen.

His rear end jacked up so high....

his rear legs came forward, scrambled for traction in front of his head, as he tried to accelerate his body through the arch of his rear legs .. :spit::spoton:

I still pi$$ myself laughing at the image in my mind, and that was over 40 years ago.

He stayed away for a few nights, but must have come back, as we had a litter of ginger kittens a few months later..

Now, the story of kitten population control, country style......

........... that's a story I'll keep for another post......

ROFL! I enjoyed that so much that water came to my eyes from the laughter! I'm a dog person too but currently own (do humans even own cats? ;)) two of the fuzzy feline creatures. When the last kid leaves home, I'll get another dog. Until then, the compromise is having the cats.

As Eugene has stated there is nothing cruel about getting slugged with a centre fire hollow point round. You wont even know what hit you. I don't belive in shooting other people pets so if it's not in a built up area then it's fair game.
