LCT).All up full retail including dealer delivery and on road costs totals $69,900, I paid $59,200 drive away. Even though it's "a year old" already, it's still a BF 6spd auto and I think it's a bargain and it's the colour I wanted. If I wanted to wait for an '06 plate the best deal I could negotiate (without really trying) was $58,500 drive away without above accessories (I negoiated them seperately) and FPV couldn't guarantee delivery within 8 weeks (more likely to be 12 apparently). Bear in mind I'm without personal transport as of today because my car was delivered to it's new owner this arvo. So the way I look at it if I had of waited I wouldn't have gotten the 19" wheels and Sheepskins and still paid about the same amount when you add in the other options. Also because I do tend to clock up a fair few km's having an older car to start with gives me an advantage when it comes time to sell (it'll have relatively low km's for an '05 plate car in 2008) So what do you all think? Did I do okay for a dumb window tinter????Big AL

In fact I was hoping to sell them the 18's and pay a little more and get the factory 19's (instead of losing the 18's to Ford and still having to pay $3,000 to upgrade to the 19's) but they wanted $5,500 for the 19's because that's what they're worth, apparently? So in essence Ford Australia are charging us $2,400 plus LCT to upgrade to 19" tyres, that's what it boils down to (Rip-off).Big AL

I decided to wait as I do not do many km's per year and thought a '06 would be a better option. You most certainly did get a great deal on the F6 from the dealer, I think you will be happy.BUT, not another f...ing yellow F6, it seems to be the ONLY colour people are buying. I thought you wanted Shockwave as your first choice....I am going to get myself a nice set of 19"x8.5/10 for the new beast and keep the 18" for the track. I should also have my car by next weekend if FPV do not delay it. I handed in my T today also as it was pre traded, I am now driving a metalic lime green XT Falcon as a loaner from my dealer

Had to go home and put the stcok map back intot he T. I could imagin a new potential buyer thinking "christ this car has power"I figure it was better to go back to stock to avoid any problems getting the Edit reset.I guess having a stocko XT for a week will make a F6 feel like a rocketship. Dare I say it, I even like the Munro in yellow.Did you ever stop to wonder why the majority of publicity shots for the FPV range are in Rapid with the 19's? The Ford Aust. marketing dept. obviously think it's the best looking colour too.RegardsBig AL
