I don't see how having an aftermarket one fitted would be a problem. They use hollandia/webasto 700's on the falcon sedans. They would use the same procedure as FPV do when they fit the sunroofs. You could even get a better finish if you specify rolled edging afaik.

Guess I can't figure out why you'd want to go and cut a whole in the roof in the first place. Reduces bending and torsional stiffness - plus reduces headroom and removes some of the sound deadening in the roof - and adds weight...

I usually burn enough fossil fuel with the airconditioning set to 'Antarctica mode' and the windows wound up to avoid the heat, smog, pollen and humidity - at least with the dual zone you can always offer to turn it up in the passenger seat.

I used Prestege Sunroofs in wetherill park for my previous car (xr8). Cost me 2200 inc gst and I had no problems what so ever. I am thinking about putting one in my T and it will be from the same place.

When I went there, they had HSV's and Fords with trade plates, so I am assuming they fit roofs for dealers also.

how much do they cost roughly for a powered up option? I was also wondering if Ford might fit them too!

has anyone had any problems with their sunroof leaking etc?

My dealer informed me that when customers order the roof new, its installed by "Prestege Sunroofs" I was quoted the same price after market by Prestege as for the roof installed as a factory option. So if you want the factory look and quality job, I'd use them, especially since your in Melb.
