I'll think you'll find Summoner's Cefiro was powered by an RB26DETT pumping out around 300+ rwkw.

Quite the animal.

hehe yeh, By the time I pulled it off the road(smashed the diff racing on M1.. woops) it was making around 500rwhp @ 1.19bar and holding its own. Was a fun sleeper :)

nice - it looks kinda like a Nissan Maxima - but with a GTR motor - I like!

I can tell you the guy in the Ferrari next to me was definately trying - he was revving the guts out of it. Just didn't get as good a start as me.

Not my problem.

I remember when mum had her BA XR8, sitting behind a late model Porshe 911 (I think) both booted it off from the lights, only for the Porshe driver to be suprised to have a Stock XR8 running right with it

Had one at the tollgates on the M2 heading to the city.

A black XR8, WRX, a late model Ferrari not sure what type don’t know much about them and my Ute.

We left the toll gates at the same time, smashed the XR8, caught up to the rex and sitting on the tail of the Ferrari, got my ass kicked at the long sweeping turn just before the Deli road turn off.

Now I know way they cost so much, they not to hard to keep up with a high-powered streetcar, but try racing them around a corner at 200kms and this guy could drive the thing! :spoton:

This type of thing is what you dream about, what’s the chances of this happening again?

Top stuff.

What a great Friday evening on the way to G/F's house.

Just filled up with 100 Octane shell. Good tunes on, made it to the end of the working week.

Pull up at the lights,, red Ferrari 360 spider pulls up in the next lane. No other cars around. We give it to it on green light up to 120km/h (private road with private lights of course) and the Ferrari sounds sweeeeeeeet revving it's nuts off in two gears.

Surprisingly, the XR6T's nose is still at the tail lights of the Ferrari....fairly bewildered look on their faces as they certainly weren't expecting that!!!

Anyone had a similar experience with an awesome machine of that style? How did you go?

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

This is going to be even better than the M5 vs F6 thread.

To even entertain the idea that a basically stock XR6T would beat a Ferrari 360 Spider is just plain stupid!

The Ferrari 360 Spider is a 294kW V8. The car only weighs 1450kg. And can go from 0-100kmph in 4.5 seconds and 0-400m in 12.7 seconds.

The only was you would get near that was if he was just playing with you or not even giving it a real go to begin with.

:w00t:

Adam, no one said anything about a basically stock XR6T BEATING a Ferrari. I said the headlights we up to his taillights.

So a Ferrari had a CAR LENGTH on an XR6T over a couple of hundred metres. Not a full quarter mile or anything. Given that the XR6T should do a high 13 and the Ferrari should do a high 12 this is perfectly reasonable.

Particularly as his launch was nowhere near as good as the XR6T launching from 1800 revs off the line (auto).

Like I said, he gave it to it hard zooming through the gear and it sounded sweet.

The XR6T was never going to beat it but it was a good bit of fun and you had to give it a go.

I think the probability that the Ferrari was a manual and the T was an auto could play a part too. :spoton:

I didn't race but I would have got my arse kicked well and truly kicked.

Just this morning. A bright yellow Porshe GT3 with rollbar, towhooks and the usual club racer additions. Just 2 very ordinary looking exhausts but the most wonderful very loud, very cammy sound coming from them. He actually had a hard time taking off in a sedate manner. I sounded like a typical either in or out race clutch.

This bloke wasn't gunna race anybody. Guess he didn't have too much to prove

That boxer engine is just a piece of automotive art.

Still drooling.

Though.....Ifn ida had a new BF with 6 speed auto and edit, I reckon I would have tried real hard to get him to show off a bit.
