I wonder if this new thread xr5 turbo will be as popular as the xr6 turbo? me thinks not.

it looks like a great little car though and as far as hot hatches go this would be have to be up there.

what about modding one? chucking an edit and some tuning and they could be a mad little thing.

It wont sell, so who cares.. same problems as the ST170 its front wheel drive  and it is obviously targeting males <30 and none of them that I know would pay near 40k for a focus. problem is that you are not to far away from some better new cars and you are right in the thick of the fight when it comes to second hand cars... nice try but it just wont sell

Geez really, I find that Funny when my mum is already seriously looking at getting one as is one of her friends who isn't evan into cars so obviously their targeted at males...

I think what alot of people are missing is that its probably half the wait of aT and only a 2.5 litre it will be alot more economical than a T.At the rate petrol has been going up it is a smart move by ford to sell a more economical performance variation. Even tight arses like performance.

my girlfriend wants one! Saw it at the sydney motor show, and to be honest, its not a bad looking car. interior looked nice, and with that power I think it could be a good thing for the missus! Will stop her nagging me to take the T for a drive! Then again, she does pay half the repayments with me.... and has probably put 2000km of the 28000km ..

I cant complain! but still might look into buying her one! edit, and a few mods, and it should go ok! even if it is front wheel drive!

And not everyone would like something the size of an XR6T either, for $35,000 - $40,000 we could easily pick up a good condition MK1 XR6T with good options but she want's something smaller, better on fuel, but still has some go too...

for $35990, I think its reasonably priced... considering the other car my gf wanted was a mazda 3 sp20 (or something) and that was priced at $32000, so for an extra 3g or so, you get a better performing car, with a slick interior, and the recaro seats look pretty good too!! Not sure if my fat hide will fit too comfortably  time to hit the gym again I think
