I think that Nizpro have got a base Focus and are developing a package for the focus and are using the edit as their tuning tool.

It would be interesting to see how much you could get out of the 5cyl jobbie.

Im a fan, but not before a turbo.

First things first.

Being inspired by this very community I've been busily building a site just for the lil bro of the XR6T @ www.fordxr5turbo.com

If you're at all interested you'll find detailed tech, specs and piccys from the Melbourne Motorshow linked on the forums (yes the forums are a WIP atm).

I just love the XR6T and I think the XR5T is just a great little weapon... particularly once our fantastic tuning community get a hold of the UK boy's volvo based tuning gear.

I'm hoping that in the future that the XR5T site will have great people just like here and we can even organise some XR6T & XR5T cruises!

Cheers,

Miyagi

PS - I hope this post doesn't upset any mods... please PM me if you have any concerns.

I reckon it's awesome!!

I'd love an XR6T but dont want the size or the fuel hassles associated, so this baby is right up my driveway.

Hopefully will have one by the end of the year.

P.S. Yes the lack of RWD is a concern....

From what I have seen so far I think its a great little Pocket Rocket! :spoton:

With the price of fuel these days the new Focus is a great proposition I think.

I don't care what they call it, but I think the "XR" thing should be left to the falcons. They even used the same badge as the XR6 Turbo. :spoton:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I agree since the XR was the 1st FALCON GT....not Focus

A bit of trivia...

Did you know that the 1st GT Falcon had a massive (?) 168kws.....

Cheers

God Damn boys...

Check your facts, XR does NOT echo the model designation that the mid's 60's Ford Falcon carried! It has variously been argued: eXperimental Racer and a few other names that escape my memory. Here are some references for you, IF you are interested.

What Started it All.

Various 1980's XR's

Sierra's in the States wore XR badges too.

Heavens T-betsy! Even a convertible laser was badged XR!

Lumpy :stirthepot:
