has anybody else snapped the swaybar mounts on the front of the ute's? Mine snapped today (the little ball jointed rod on lower arms). The mount definatly hasn't been hit. Are they supposed to be straight or curved? The drivers side has a bend in it (about 6 mm) and the passenger side is just snapped

Happens all the time on AU's, I spose the BA's are snapping them too!

The AU's are renowned for breaking the other sway bar mount brackets too, hope the BA doesnt follow there as well...... :stirthepot:

Happened to me in the sedan, the swaybar scratched lovely big grooves on the inside of my rim before I figured it out too!

I drive like your mother.

I rang the dealer explained the problem, he was cool, I told him I would put it in myself as the car is jacked up etc and that was ok by him. I went to pick up the parts only to find that they shut at 11.30  . So I had to do a bit of welding, I used 8mm 304 stainless rod and welded both sides. I left my flash mask on site so I just welded blind so it aint the best weld but hey much stronger than a broken link. The last photo is of what some grub did to my 1 month old panel lift door on sat nite. the problem with the door is that the "timbertone" coating system cant be patched, so a new door will have to be ordered.
