I have the BA XR6T, I chew a sh*t load of fuel and just drive average km's per week around 300 to 400 a week to work and back and a bit of weekend driving....Here's the deal.... I realise everyone's driving patterns are different, hence the different fuel consumption rates, but seriously, what's the best way to drive this car for maximum fuel efficiency. I mean should I be using triptronic mode?Is triptronic mode more efficient than normal auto driving?THanksSteven(pm me) Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/22609-jaeyons-questions/page/34/#findComment-344274 Share on other sites

3tl Member 22 Member For: 20y 9m 28d Location: WA Posted 04/02/06 11:18 AM Share Posted 04/02/06 11:18 AM I have kept a log of all fuel fills with mine since delivery in October 2004. I created an access database that produces various reports. This one is a graph of all the fills dropped into a MS Word file. I live in a country town in WA. The graph shows an obvious distinction between around town and highway driving. Included is a trip across the Nullabor to Melbourne and back. I have done quite a few trips to Perth as well.fuel.docI drive reasonably conservatively but have been known to give it a bit, particularly when passing road trains - working on the theory of being on the wrong side of the road for a minimum of time. Hopefully this uploads OK because MS Word is not working on this computer Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/22609-jaeyons-questions/page/34/#findComment-344435 Share on other sites
