I dont want a loud car and im pretty happy with the power im getting now but wouldnt mind more grunt, however I still want the smooth ride.

what a crock... I've been on so many cruises with this site.. and XR6T owners and fanatics. The majority of the hoons are older. Just because the guys young doesn't mean he's an idiot driver.

I am not saying he is a idiot Glenn... Dont get me wrong...Just horsepower and young people without experience ( but hey he might have). Jess mate I am 34 and still learning. Just think there should be a traning program for yound drivers that all.

If I am wrong I.m wrong but if you thinks about it...It's not a lot of crock....

If I have offended anyone I am sorry.....

Cheers

I know I am not a young guy ... but anyhow .. my 2c's

In retrospect its a good job I didn't have more hp at 17, seriously thought I was DJ on a rally course, took a few knocks to learn.

the "Older Hoons" have one thing a youngun doesn't ..experience !!

BUT

at the end of the day personality and responsiblity does factor in... some have more than others regardless of age!!

Jaeyon, Are you aware that you cannot legally drive a XR6T in NSW ?

They are on the list of banned cars for P platers.

I would also hate to see the price for your insurance policy

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Ummm I dont know if vic is differnt to NSW, but a mate of mine just bought a T and his 18. He called "Just cars" and asked for the usall, full comprehensive and he was quoted $1500, so he went with them. Not bad I say...

Nice first car.. Enjoy it, just respect it.

I don't agree with cars + power for new drivers, but if your carefull, you should be ok..

Forget the big fmic, unless your in a w_anking contest with your supra mate??

my ute is fitted with mongoose alarm which works with the factory emobilizer

and central locking, it adds alarm and shock sensors etc. works really well and for approx $400 fitted good value.

regards geoff

Yeh, I got a Mongoose aswell. Uses factory remote, chucks the windows up on lock.

Me too.

Mongoose after market but very carefully fitted and not a job for the faint hearted if it's done properly.

Expert fitting took a day and used loads of diodes to overcome even the most determined thief.

Works absolutely seamlessly with the normal remote.

I've got a Cyclops security System alarm with knock sensors and additional imobolizer. Cost $400 fitted. Contact details 1300 132 893.

You can switch off the alarm sounding when you take it in for servicing so that it doesn't give them the sh!ts, as it arms itself approx 1 minute after switching the engine off.
