Posted 01/02/06 01:39 AM Share Posted 01/02/06 01:39 AM Most ppl on the streets know how hard the T can go even as stock (even the Expensive Daewoo boys know that), so chances are if your up against someone they are in a car that will give you a real run for your money... (See the T vs VL Turbo thread)I have only ever had 2 runs where I trounced the other car completely (eg I was doing 100KM/h whilst they where still doing 40) when they where seriously thinking they had a chance...Every other time (as rare as it is, it's near impossible to find ppl on private roads willing to do a run ) I have gone up against someone (especially in a modded car) it's been very close, and I am putting that down to the fact I have spent a lot of time working out how to get the car to accelerate quickly... (Entire weekends gone on private roads doing nothing but playing around with accelerating in different gears, different throttle movements at different RPM's etc...) And even then I'd put that down to the fact that they where show cars with minor engine mods, not cars with heavy engine mods (aka a sleeper)... Ezy10z Member 211 Member For: 21y 6m 29d Location: Ballarat Posted 01/02/06 02:00 AM Share Posted 01/02/06 02:00 AM The EVO 6 is the fastest of the Evo's released in Australia and I believe motor tested this model and recorded 13.1 for the 1/4 mile standard. It might have been the EVO 6.5 makinen. On the APS website a standard evo 6.5 put out nearly 160kw's ATW and fitting just a unichip it measured 185kw's ATW. The fact their lighter than the current model EVO 9 makes them good bfyb. I'm sure it helps having the shorter gearing and lightweight compared to the later models.Recenty I downloaded a Top Gear video of Racing Flix and a comparison was done with the Evo 9 and Evo 6 around the same track , both cars were stock and the EVO 6 was faster !!!!!!! I think you did quite well considering what you were up against.Robbie.

Mind you raced on a roll which happily removes the AWD advantage

Is it supposed to fit over cloth seats, do you reckon?
