Took my citric acid in to get the door repaired, which had been reprayed by the previous owner (Which didn't match). The guys I've taken it to can't match the paint!!!!

They did the job yesterday & it still looks bloody obvious!!

My gripe for today, they'll have another go next week!!

What do you honestly expect Ford to say/do?

They can't cover somebody else doing a shonky paint match......

I have heard that there is a colour "code" printed on a plate on the car (or in the manual) provide this to most auto shops and they will give you an exact colour match... They simply type the code in to the computer (or look it up in a table) and without actually looking at the car they can match the paint far more acurately than if someone simply did a visual (By the sounds of it they guys tried to do a visual)

My brother in law was telling me about this as he works (I think he's still there) in one of the Autoshops which does this... (In Canberra)

Of course they have nothing to do with it, but they can point me in the direction of who does all their colour matching!

No but they might know someone who can match it properly

Exactly & have already spoken to their prefered painter who explained that 3 panels need to be painted to blend in the pearl of citric acid!

I have had the same problem with mine (Acid Rush) and Ford told me if you had 6 Acid Rush car's all new put them beside each other and swapped the doors from one car to the other the difference would stick out like dog's ball's.

Work that one out :gooff:

Dave.
