The guys I've taken it to can't match the paint!!!!They did the job yesterday & it still looks bloody obvious!!My gripe for today, they'll have another go next week!!Russ Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/22600-respraying-citric-acid-what-a-pain/ Share on other sites

Posted 13/01/06 12:42 AM Share Posted 13/01/06 12:42 AM I have heard that there is a colour "code" printed on a plate on the car (or in the manual) provide this to most auto shops and they will give you an exact colour match... They simply type the code in to the computer (or look it up in a table) and without actually looking at the car they can match the paint far more acurately than if someone simply did a visual (By the sounds of it they guys tried to do a visual)My brother in law was telling me about this as he works (I think he's still there) in one of the Autoshops which does this... Quote No but they might know someone who can match it properlyExactly & have already spoken to their prefered painter who explained that 3 panels need to be painted to blend in the pearl of citric acid!Russ Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/22600-respraying-citric-acid-what-a-pain/#findComment-334363 Share on other sites
