I got a 14.3 by launching/slipping the clutch at 1800rpm.

That is with the nudge bar on the front, all mine and rjs's luggage in the boot + spare tyre, tool box and other gear, rjs in the passenger seat, 3/4 tank of fuel, 37PSI rear - 41PSI front, and tyres that were so worn down I had to change them a week later.

On the next big vic weekend I'll try the same launch but without a passenger, all that fuel and all that gear in and out of the car.

Should be good for a high 13, especially if I have my 18's and PS2 tyres :stirthepot:

Do you guys that got better times in your manuel xr6ts recomend flat changing (I think that's what its called) ie: not taking your foot off the accelerator while changing gears?

Yes it will speed up your 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th gear changes but and its a very big but, A missed gear change is going to ruin your day. At the very least you are going to tag the rev limter and at the worst its goodbuy gearbox. leave the flat changing to the V8 supercars their dogbox holingers are built for it

does the strandard ford program allow flat changes?? I was undere the impression it doesnt.

the edit allows flat changes.... have tried it a few times and it definately is quicker with the foot buried... I dont think it is good in the long term and I will not use it often.... the car went great when the foot was buried and did not seem to make any strnage noises etc.

I'm fairly sure it does. I remember another member on this site posting up a vid of his 1/4 mile run and he was flat changing. His car was stock as well. Can't remember who it was though.
