I would say definitely hardcore!

I collect a lot of things automotive - Magazines, die cast models, books, posters, etc.

Last year I owned 3 cars:

Mr Plow: supercharged AU Classic with the works, used to be only good for show, *beep* of a thing to drive around town but a joy on the track

Floyd: Fiesta runabout, $30 in petrol used to last me a week

Mk1 XR6T auto: weekend warrior but was plagued with too many issues

All them gave way to the Mk2 XR6T manual I have now and which I love to bits.

I've been in the tyre/rim industry for about 4 years now and I've put up with a lot of crap (ars*h*le bosses, long hours, retail) to be where I am now only so I can work with cars.

Let me put it this way:

If I see a car I like and a hot chick, I'll look at the car first. Don't get me wrong, I love women, but I LOVE cars! They don't suffer from PMS, you don't have to buy them things to keep them happy, just feed them and they will return unconditional love! I see it as an extension of my own body when I'm driving. Freaked out yet? hehe

Hi All (first post)

New here, haven't got an XR yet........soon though!! Took one for a whirl two days ago whilst test driving possible purchases for my darling wife. (She recently sold her VX2 SS six speed) I talked her into taking the Ford product for a whirl.

Took a 2005 XR8 for a spin and then took an XR6T for a whirl. She wasn't overly impressed (going for a Mazda 6 Luxury Sport instead) but I LOVED the XR6T!!! Heaps more than the XR8. I can hardly wait to get one. Just lurking and learning for the time being!!

Currently I'm a 4wd nut, hence the username. I've got a 1992 LWB Ford Maverick, 4" spring lift, 2" body lift, 35" MT/R's, air lockers F & R, gearmaster transfer case gears, on board air, SAAS seats blah blah blah.

I can see a day when I get over the 4wd thing and then I can go full on with an XR6T.

Learnt heaps in the last couple of days, lots more to go!!

Regards
